Maybe I am weird, but I like to listen to the sound my car makes on youtube, even though I hear it everyday.

If I could, I'd start every day with a cup of coffee and the loping idle of my Willys.

Nah.. I'm the same... well, not on youtube, but on recordings.. The weird thing is that my Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 kinda sounds like a Impreza... you know... that growling boxer sound.

Sounds good, man. Gotta take get some clips of mine.
Couple of questions for ya...
Any idea which tune you're going to go with? Seems like most tuners work with Ecutek, but OFT seems to be gaining popularity. I'd probably be ready to pull the trigger on a tune if I hadn't had an unexpected trip to the dentist today.
Do you have the 1st gear clunk? I get often get a clunk when I'm at a stop and go for first. Apparently it's not uncommon, as is a bit of lag if you're still rolling and reengage first, both of which are apparently alleviated by switching to a synthetic transmission fluid.

I am 99% sure I will be going with OFT. I don't like the idea behind Ecutek and having a license and all that. Not to mention, OFT is cheaper, plus you can log on the device as well.
I think I also get the 1st gear clunk. But only when it is cold, after that everything is pretty normal. I generally only put it in 1st when I am at a dead stop, all other times it is 2nd!

Maybe you have misfiring cylinder!! At least that is the only thing I can think of to give you the boxer rumble!

Nah... It's more the fact that I have a pod-filter, a fucked up exhaust and run the car on E85. The engine is fine :)
